Gamma in DaVinci Resolve Means Two Completely Different Things

DaVinci Resolve uses the word **Gamma** in two very different ways. One refers to the midtone control in the Primaries, while the other determines the mathematical domain in which a node operates. Understanding that difference opens the door to a much clearer way of thinking about Linear light, DaVinci Intermediate, and why certain grading operations behave differently depending on where the math happens.
